The Nuts and Bolts of a Data Integration Platform

blog_DMRadioI’ll be on DM Radio this Thursday, August 16, 2012, 03:00PM ET. Registration.

Here’s what it’s all about:

Getting data where it needs to go is a much different challenge than it used to be. On the up side, there are many serious innovations, including massive parallel processing (MPP), which can bulk load tremendous amounts of data in practically no time. There’s also a resurgence of traditional methods like change-data capture (CDC) and data virtualization, which take the pressure off of extract-transform-load (ETL) processes.

But then there’s Big Data, which carries all kinds of new hurdles. That said, some companies are now using data streams to circumvent bulky ETL requirements.

Register for this episode of DM Radio to hear Hosts Eric Kavanagh and Jim Ericson interview Analyst Rick Sherman of Athena Solutions, Ciaran Dynes of Talend, Lance Speck of Pervasive Integration Products and Rick Nucci of Dell Boomi.

Register for the broadcast.
